Ballet Bedstuy

This is a pre-professional track program designed to enliven and broaden your understanding and appreciation of street dance.  We will look at commercial dance and how many forms such as vogue, and hip hop (specifically house, waving, and popping), have found their way into the commercial spotlight and what that has done for those forms. We will look at how dance and social media have come to live side by side. We will also study narrative in dance, and how to compose a piece of choreography through set, and improvised material.
